The sources of the organizational stress the teachers working in the primary and secondary schools have and their ways of coping with stress

The aim of this study is to ascertain and analyze the sources of the organizational stress the teachers working in the primary and secondary schools have and the ways they are coping with them, also, to give proposals related to these factors.The reasons of the stress the teachers working in the primary and secondary schools have and the techniques they use in order to handle stress are the dependant variables of this research.These teachers? occupational seniorities, genders, marital statuses, having children, educational backgrounds, the schools? in which they are working being in the extent of the compulsory service, the types of the organizations they are working in, their compulsory service obligations, ages, branches are the independent variables of this research.The study is a descriptive work in which scanning model is used. The data aggregation tool used in the research consists of three parts: The first part comprises the personal information of the people taking part in the research. The second part comprises a scale which consists of 5-grade Likert scale including thirty seven topics which are used to define the sources of organizational stress.And the last part comprises `the scale for the ways of coping stress? in the type of 4- grade likert scale consisting of thirty topics which is the adapted version of Folkman and Lazarus? `Ways Of Coping?, aiming to define the ways of coping stress. And it was adapted for the college students by Şahin Durak in Turkey.The survey used in this study was carried out in 20 schools in İnegöl, Harmancık, Orhaneli, Keles and Büyükorhan districts which are chosen as sampling units. T-test, Single-Factor Anova (Variance Analysis), Kruskall Wallis Test and Mann Whitey U test are used while analysing the sub-problems of the study; also, the frequency, percentage, arithmetic average and standard deviation accounts are figured out.The findings of the research are:1. There aren?t significant connections among the resources of organizational stress and gender, marital status, having children, compulsory service obligations of the teachers.2. There are considerable associations among the schools? in which the teachers are working being in the extent of the compulsory service and the carrier, organizational constitution and climate.3.There aren?t noteworthy connections in any dimensions among the ways of overcoming stress and marital status, having children, the schools? in which the teachers are working being in the extent of the compulsory service.4.There are meaningful connections among the ways of coping with stress and the dimensions of the teachers? being optimistic or pessimistic depending on gender, and the sub-dimension of applying to social support related to the compulsory service obligations.Key Words: Stress, Level of Stress, Coping With Stress, Organizational Stress, Organization, Attitude, Teacher.
