Abstract (EN)

Gülten Dayıoğlu is one of the most famous writers who has been accepted as a creative writer in Turkish Children Literature. Gülten Dayıoğlu has written literary works that address to people in all ages. Until 2010, 71 of her 83 literary works are regarded among the products of children literature and this is what makes us regard Gülten DAYIOĞLU as a children literature writer. The story is one of the literary products, making the taste of reading at the children. However, it is important that the relationship constituted by reading influence the life of the child. This case get attention of researchers and studies on the stories and become the subject of several scientific research. And it analyzed, by the method of "story map" used for the apprehension of text, 24 stories which are chosen in these 5 story books of Dayıoğlu. The general purpose of this study is to determine the level of examining the text elements by examining Gülten Dayıoğlu's children oriented story books of the story mapping method. For this purpose, a qualitative research approach within the framework of review of documents was consulted. Study material, prepared by the Ministry of Education is Gülten Dayıoğlu's story boks suggested for primary schools. Stories were examined via the descriptive analysis. In the process of analyzing the data obtained in this study, descriptions were performed in accordance with the "Story Elements Rating Scale" prepared by Coşkun (2005). In this study, "How is the ranking stories based on story elements?'' and "What is the level of the text elements of narrative stories?" questions were aimed to explore. In the analysis of the data, "Story Elements Rating Scale" (narrative elements rating scale) which was designed in the abroad and translated into Turkish was used effectively. It concluded then that the method of the story map account plays an important role in the development of four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
