The miracle of the Qur'an in terms of spelling

This study, which deals with the subject of "The Miracle of the Qur'an in Terms of Spelling", consists of an introduction, three main sections and a conclusion. The introduction section includes information such as the purpose, scope, method, sources and original value of the research. Then, within the conceptual framework of the thesis, the terms "resm, tevkîf and i'câz" are explained in line with historical data and the findings of scholars. In addition, under the title of "A General View of Arabic Writing", the basic features and foundations of Arabic writing are discussed. In the first section, the spelling of the Qur'an and the tevkîf of its spelling are examined. In this section, the spelling of the Qur'an during the periods of Hz. Prophet, Hz. Abu Bakr and Hz. Osman, its reasons and methods are specified; then, the issue of the Hz. Prophet's illiteracy and his being a revelation scribe is touched upon. In the second part, three different views on the withholding of Quranic spelling, namely, spelling is withholding, non-withholding and that the rules of writing should be followed, are examined in detail. In the second part, the origin, characteristics and rules of Quranic spelling are discussed. In this context, issues such as linguistic reasons said to have an effect on Quranic spelling, scribal errors, differences in meaning, variety of recitation and wisdoms known by the scribe companions are explained. In addition, attention is drawn to issues such as the characteristics of spelling, different recitation styles, wise meanings, signs for primary vowels and letters, fluent Arabic dialects and economics of the document. In the last part of this section, issues such as hazif, ziyâde, hemze, bedel, fasıl-vasıl are touched upon in the context of the method and rules of Mushaf spelling. In the third section, the orthographic miraculousness of the Mushaf, within the framework of the above-mentioned spelling rules, is presented with some verse examples. In conclusion, some important findings and observations reached as a result of the study were highlighted.
