Abstract (EN)
In this study, the scales named as Evaluation of Human Resources Management and Evaluation of The Right to Associate of Teachers were applied and the relations of the these scales with the demographic characteristics were researched. For this purpose, in the school year of 2009-2010, the three section survey form was applied to 500 teachers working in 18 public schools and 7 private schools in Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul province, which are under the management of Ministry of National Education. The first section of the survey form was designed for the collection of the personal data, in the second section, the survey, which is named as ?Evaluation of Human Resources Management? and formed of 8 questions developed and prepared by the researcher was applied and in the third section, again a survey, which is named as ?Evaluation of The Right to Associate of Teachers? and formed of 13 questions also developed and prepared by the researcher was applied.As the result of the study it was seen that most of the teachers working in public or private schools in Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul province, who are the members of a professional union are generally the members of Türk Eğitim Sen (Turkish Training and Education Union) and Eğitim Sen (Training and Education Union) and it was realized that their average membership period is 6 years. It was seen that for most of the teachers who not the members of any union are, the main reasons are because they think that generally the unions have political characteristics and because of economic reasons.Also it was observed that the teachers/administrators working in private schools do not have any information or current information related with whether unionization in private training and educational institutions is forbidden or permissive.While the evaluation of human resources management in general, it was seen that the teachers/administrators working in public schools believe in the benefits of human resources much more than the teachers/administrators working in private schools. In addition to this, it was realized that working in private or public schools does not cause to any diversity of views in general regarding teachers? evaluation of the unionization rights.While the evaluation of human resources management in general, it was seen that the female teachers/administrators believe in the benefits of human resources much more than the male teachers/administrators and in addition to this, it was realized that being female or male teacher/administrator does not cause to any diversity of views in general regarding teachers? evaluation of the unionization rights.While the evaluation of human resources management in general, it was seen that when the professional seniority of the teachers/administrators increase, they believe in the benefits of human resources much more, and in addition to this whatever their seniority are it was realized that their views in general regarding teachers? evaluation of the unionization rights are similar to each others? views.While the evaluation of human resources management in general, it was seen that the teachers/administrators who are not the members of a professional union believe in the benefits of human resources much more than the teachers/administrators who are the members of a professional union, besides, it was realized that the teachers/administrators who are the members of a professional union achieve a consensus much more in general regarding teachers? evaluation of the unionization rights.
