Abstract (EN)

After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, which emerged a new conjunctor in the region, competition between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which directly or indirectly reflects to countries in the region, is one of the most important political issues of the modern Middle East. Since Iranian Revolution, Iran's foreign political discourses and its regime-exporting policy was perceived as a threat by Arab monarchs in the region. Iran has become increasingly stronger in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, so it has entered into a conflict of interest with Saudi Arabia in these regions. Initially, Arab Spring movement started in Syria on March 2011, with this Iran and the allied Hizbollah's have supported to Syrian regime, while Saudi Arabia and His allies were supporting oppositional movement. In this research, the topic of the analysis of regional policies and relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in the context of state identity has examined. In this study, tensions, changing and unchanging political priorities, basic separation and competition areas in the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and regional politics of these two countries after the iranian revolition in 1979 has analyzed in the context of state identity and constructivist approach.
