Abstract (EN)
Prescription and foreclosure have great importance in terms of labor law as in all areas of law. In this study, after providing the general principles of prescription and foreclosure, the forms of appearance in the field of labor law are examined in the light of the new regulations with reference to the old practice. While examining the subject, the doctrinal opinions and judicial decisions are also mentioned and some criticisms are raised. Within the scope of the study, wages and indemnity claims, the right to termination and the new mandatory mediation institution newly incorporated in Turkish law have been handled in terms of periods. While conducting this review, the Turkish Code of Obligations, Labor Law, Maritime Labor Law, Press Labor Law and Trade Unions and Collective Labor Agreements are taken into consideration.
