The effect of The Holy Qur'an in The Arab poetry compared with the pre- islamic poems (From the era the beginning of Islam until the end of The Umayyad Period)

The first degree source in the Islamic religion is the Quran. Therefore, the reputation of the Qur'an is very high in the eyes of Muslim Arabs. Besides, poetry in the field of literature in the eyes of the Arabs has a high authority since the past. Based on this, we have examined the effects of the Qur'an verses, directions and aims on the examples of Arabic poetry in the Islamic period and the Umayyad period. The study consists of an introduction, a preface, four chapters and concluding parts. The introduction contains the boundaries of the research, previous studies and the method of the research. In the first part of the study, the effect of the Quran on Arabic Literature and its effects on the scientific, literary and social life of Muslims are discussed. In the second part, the poems of Jahiliyya and common poetry themes in the period of Jahiliyya are mentioned. In the third chapter, the situation of the Arab poetry in the period of the Prophet (pbuh) and the four caliphs is tried to be explained. In the fourth part of the study, the effect of the Qur'an on the Arabic poetry themes in the Islamic period of Arabic Literature is discussed. Continuing from the sending of the Prophet (pbuh) until the end of the Umayyad period and having political, religious and literary significance in the life of the Islamic Ummah; this interaction is mentioned. Thus, the influence of the Quran on the poets in this period is revealed.
