The effect on teamwork of information and data sharing in managements: An Implementation in textile industry

In the information age that we are living, and that modern management approaches in the field of business and the global and intellectual change and development revealed, the way of achieving long term competitive advantage with organizations passes on leaning to teamwork by using information effectively and efficiently. It needs to increase efficiency of team work to provide the desired benefit from the teams in today's businesses. To increase team effectiveness, it needs to be reached to business success by ensuring team synergies after creating a way to participate in organizational decisions, and team culture, to present the open-tacit knowledge sharing targets, to improve information sharing capabilities, and to determine the role and responsibilities of the team members. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on the team members of Arık Bey textile Co. which functions on producing in the textile sector within Akkanat Holding in the province of Konya. As a result of survey, the data, obtained from 8 different teams and 178 team members, was evaluated with SPSS 17.0 software package, besides, in order to test their effects on our variables, respectively, reliability analysis, one-way analysis of variance (anova), multiple regression analysis were used. As a result of research, it was concluded that the high level of information sharing was effective on teamwork, dimensions of information sharing were effective on the sensitivity of teamwork, and it was presented with the results that there were differences among the dimensions of demographic variables information sharing.
