Abstract (EN)
In this doctoral thesis study, it was aimed to determine some botanical characteristics and agricultural performances of Sideritis spp taxa naturally distributed in Isparta Province. In the field studies carried out in Isparta Province, Sideritis perfoliata L, Sideritis hispita P.H. Davis, Sideritis libanotica Labill subsp linearis (Bentham) Bornm, Sideritis libanotica Labill subsp libanotica, Sideritis condensata Boiss & Heldr Apud Bentham, Sideritis cilicica Boiss & Bal, Sideritis congesta PH Davis & Hub Mor, Sideritis stricta & Heldr Apud Bentham, Sideritis leptoclada Hwarz & PH Davis, Sideritis syriaca subsp nusairiensis Hub-Mor, Sideritis pisidica Boiss & Heldr Apud Bentham, Sideritis phrygia Bornm, Sideritis dichotoma Huter, Sideritis erythrantha var erythrantha taxa were detected to be distributed. In our study, with SPME analysis in natural habitat and field environment, respectively; β-pinene (18.12%-5.66), trans-caryophyllene (12.77%-0.83) and germakren-D (10.59%-0.67) of Sideritis condensata; Sideritis perfoliata has α-pinene (51.72%-43.36), β-pinene (14.07%-12.25) and limonene (10.96%-14.09); Sideritis hispita has α-pinene (22.86%-13.74), β-pinene (28.31%-16.39) and trans-caryophyllene (11.24%-14.49); Sideritis libanotica subsp. linearis has α-pinene (25.29%-9.29), β-pinene (20.14%-13.71) and β-myrcene (2.41%-15.96); germacrene-D (16.01%-29.24), trans-caryophyllene (18.29%-21.20) and β-pinene (6.30%-5.07) of Sideritis libanotica subsp. libanotica; germacrene-D (33.85%-26.45), caryophyllene (30.82%-23.84) and β-elemene (3.14%-3.06) of Sideritis stricta; trans-caryophyllene (19.76%-15.81), α-pinene (4.34%-11.86) and β-pinene (3.67%-10.76) of Sideritis leptoclada; caryophyllene (27.08%-22.49), germacrene-D (4.80%-6.93) and bicyclogermacrene (6.78%-4.68) in Sideritis syriaca subsp. nusairiensis; the natural environment of Sideritis congesta is β-pinene(34.13%), dl-limonene(16.08%), α-pinene(15.25%); field medium (E)-2-heptenal(0.02%), Z-3-hexenyl 2-methylbutanoate(0.02%), benzoate(0.02%) components, with the highest percentage of trans(β)-caryophyllene(25.03%), β-bisabolene (13.24%) and bicyclogermacrene (9.47%) were determined as the main components. Volatile component yield was determined to be higher in the natural environment than in the field environment.
