Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in Isparta in 2018 by using the light blue colored traps with attractants hanging on different locations in cherry orchard for catching of Tropinota (Epicometis) hirta (Poda, 1761) (Coleoptera: Cetoniidae) which cause economic damages on the flowers of cherry trees. Traps with attractant and water below them are located on the outward facing side of the orchard and on only one branch of trees in each direction; on a stretched wire connected to the pole in the middle of a row in the orchard and to the branches of the trees on the inside of it. The numbers of the flowers in the same trees as the numbers of the adults coming to these traps were recorded and they were compared without trapping. As a result, the number of adult insects caught in the trapped habitats inside the orchard was higher than the others. The number of adult caught on a stretched wire connected to the pole was statistically different from other traps (p <0.05). In addition, the spillage rates of the flowers in the trapped trees were 92.9%, in the north; 90.8% were hanging pole; 90.1% hanging into the orchard; 70.7% west; 48.2% in the south and 32.9% in the east. The number of remaining flowers in all the trapped trees was found more than the trees in the controls. According to these results, traps were found to be more effective in hanging on a stretched wire connected to the pole in the middle of a row in the orchard than they were in trees, as they could be seen to attract adult insects. In addition, adult insects attracted here as a result of trapping trees have been more the spillage rates of the flowers damage to the flowers in the trees.
