In this thesis, it was revealed what important dervish lodges in the Ottoman period were dealing with, what they promised first to their communities and then to other people, and the facts that some dervish lodges had a great role in development. We discussed the common points of all these lodges, the disputes between the sects, the relations between the sect and the state. The formation of dervish lodges and their connections with the community show that the sects and dervish lodges that existed in Ottoman Istanbul were a factor that directly affected the way of life, the thoughts of the people and the voice of the communities.
