The relation between the cause of immigration of adults migrating to Buca district of İzmir and their level of adaptation

Recently there has been an increasing wave of immigration towards big cities in our country. As expected these movements of immigration can trigger both personal and sociological issues. People can migrate domestically or externally due to economic, cultural, natural, educational, personal or warfare reasons. As a result of various researches there has been proven cases of self-fulfilment issues, neurotic tendencies, psychotic tendencies, emotional stability issues, problems with family relations, troubled social relations, antisocial behaviour issues observed on individuals that has experienced domestic immigration. The study is of cross-sectional and descriptive type. In this study, the causes of domestic immigration will be explained taking the qualities of our country into account and it is going to be tested whether there is a meaningful difference between the immigrant's reason of migration and their personal ad social adaptation levels. This study hereby will also find out the type of adaptation problems that are faced by the domestic immigrants and whether or not they face adaptation problems related to their cause of immigration. This study will be carried out in Buca district, one of the most domestic migration receiving regions in İzmir. According to the data obtained from TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute), the sample group of the study will consist of 400 people that are picked among 129217 people that has migrated to Buca district of İzmir between the years 2014-2018 and are still living in Buca to date. The sample group of 400 people have been determined via simple random sampling method from the target population of the study with 95% confidence interval and 5% error margin. The voluntary adult participants of the study will be given a Sociodemograohic Fact Sheet and Hacettepe Personality Inventory (HKE). The data will be analysed using SPSS program.
