Abstract (EN)
In this study, the amount and types of heavy metals mixed with wastewater as a re-sult of dyeing processes in two different women's hairdressers in Muğla, Menteşe and Ula districts were investigated. According to the literature researches, it is seen that hair dyes or hair colorants cons-titute a very important part (33%) of the approximately 400 billion dollar cosmetic market. Today, the age of hair dyeing has decreased to the twenties. Women have their hair dyed every three weeks. These dyes accumulate in the hair and threaten human health both internally and externally. Heavy metals, which are excreted from the human body in different ways, also pose a problem for the environment. These metals, which cause pollution of our environment, enter the living body again through soil, water and different food sources and cause diseases. The Hair program of the microwave device was used in the determination of heavy metals within the scope of the thesis. 30 different hair dye samples were dissolved by microwave dissolving method. The concentrations of Pb2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Zn2+, Mn2+ and Cd2+ ions in wastewater samples were determined. Heavy metal analyzes were performed with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) device. As a result of the analysis, Cu2+ and Mn2+ metals were found in very small amounts in some samples in hair dye wastewater, while Mn2+ and Cu2+ metals were found below the analysis limit. Results below the analysis limit were not dealt with. It was observed that the amount of Pb2+, Fe2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ metals was high. As a result of the AAS analyzes made in 30 different wastewaters taken after hair dyeing, the total is: Pb2+ 73,918 mg/L, Cu2+ 0.109 mg/L, Fe2+ 50.809 mg/L, Zn2+ 7,900 mg/L, Mn2+ 1.031 mg/L and Cd2+ 3,522 mg/ It was found to be L. It was de-termined that a total of 137,289 mg/L heavy metals were mixed into the wastewater. The metal contents of the dyes were compared using the reference color chart. It was determined that the highest metal content was in shades of dark auburn, natural chestnut and brown, especially Pb2+, Fe2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ metals. It was determined that the pH values of hair dye wastewater were between 7-10. Heavy metal concentrations in wastewater were compared with the legal limit values in the Water Control Regulation.
