A research to establish oil consumption methods and frequency of women

This study has been conducted, during the dates of January and October 2008 at the Mengen township of Bolu province. To serve the purpose of case of oil consumptions, choices and frequency of the 318 women who live in Mengen. The personal informations about members of the women?s families, and preparations of meals and cooking methods, frequency of oil consumption, amount and types of oil which they consume obtained by a survey sheet that done before. Frequency and percentage of the datas which was gathered by the survey sheet was calculated and Chi-square indepence test was applied fort he datas that required and the datas evaluated by utilizing SPSS 13.0 (Statistic Package for Social Sciences).2.8 % of the women are twenty five years old and below, 79.6 % of women are among 26 and 64 years old and 17.6 % of women are 65 years old and upon. 61.0 % of the women who were participants the research have a salary amount 500 and 1000 YTL. The ratio of the women who prefer roasting as the most frequently cooking methods that thay use is 90.6 %. 79.6 % of the women attain their knowledge about nutrition from the elder members of their women and 28.9 % of women attain it from the TV or radio.The nutrition education will play an important role to change in the positive direction the nutrition habituation of the women.
