Motivation in public hospitals, impact on organizational commitment: Erzincan Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital application

In today's working life, it has become clear that motivation and organizational commitment are necessary for differentiation and progress very quickly. The need for motivation and organizational commitment in health service provision increases more as time goes by and it is not possible to make functional health service provision without motivation and organizational commitment. Motivation and organizational commitment exist at the forefront of the phenomena that are considered to be necessary for development in the healthcare sector, which have a role in health care delivery. Objectives; This study aimed to determine the effect of motivation and organizational commitment on the nurses of Erzincan Mengücek Gazi Education and Research Hospital. It is planned to be done in a cross-sectional and descriptive research model. The data of the study were collected by means of the questionnaire created by the researcher after the literature survey was made. The questionnaire was applied to a total of 218 participants. The obtained data were transferred to the SPSS 23.0 package program and the independent sample T-test and ANOVA were used to determine whether all variables were perceived at the same level by the participants. Correlation was used to determine relationships between variables, and regression analyzes were used to measure the effect of motivation on organizational commitment. The results were expressed as mean, standard deviation, min-max, frequency and percentage, and p <0.0 was accepted as statistically significant. As a result, it was concluded that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between organizational commitment and motivation levels of nurses. In another expression, the nurses are predicting their organizational commitment to their motivation levels. Keywords: Commitment, Motivation, Organizational Commitment
