Abstract (EN)

It has been subject to many researches that, women can?t take part in employment as much as their ratio in total population, and even when they do take part, they are treated as substitutional labor force and second rate employees.Public employment has a very important share in non-agricultural employment when interpreted in terms of women in Turkey. In some studies, it is revealed that women prefer being employed in public sectorIn this study, which is done to put forth the labor force profile of public employee women and reveal their opinions about both business life and also family and business life together, 523 women working in various levels of public services filled questionnaires. Later, these questionnaires were evaluated by using statistical package program ?SPSS 15.0? and several results were obtained.At the end of the research, it is discovered that most of the public employee women are married, they experience discrimination about getting assigned to high level positions, they are pleased with business life and married women take part in especially decisions about financial family matters
