Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to reveal the lifestyle and cultural understanding of Karacakurt Turkmen villagers, one of the tens of Turkmen tribes who settled in Anatolia. It is aimed to reveal the human and place perception styles of Karacakurt Turkmen Villagers, who played an important role in the process of Turkification of Anatolia, and their historical past and connection with the present. 3 (three) villages (Hasanlar, Karaovalar and Sadık) elected to represent Karacakurt Turkmen villages and nine people living in these villages are the study group of this research. In this study, ethnographic design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Document scanning, observation and interview forms were used as data collection tools. The data obtained from the interviews were compared with the data obtained from the documents and observations, and all the findings and results were analyzed descriptively. According to the results of the research, it has been concluded that Karacakurt Turkmen villagers have been in a constant change and development by adhering to the main source in connection with the perception of human and space over the past many years. It has been seen that Karacakurt Turkmen villagers settled permanently, as is the case in the general nomadic Turkmen villages, and they carried the geographical concepts that existed in their homeland, Central Asia, to their settlements. Other scientific studies examining the human and space perception skills of other Turkmen tribes such as Herikli and Yabanlı, which are neighbors and relatives of the Karacakurt Turkmen tribe, should be carried out and cultural activities should be increased.
