Abstract (EN)

Disinformation, which actually has a long past, has become one of the primary dangers in today's information societies due to the influence of the new media technologies. This danger is most often manifested as fake news spread over the internet. Thus, in the world, a tendency to create criminal provisions against online disinformation has emerged. In this regard, Germany is an example for regulating disinformation that harms democratic society through people in political life and for regulating social networks. Singapore is an example of the administration's direct regulation of disinformation. Russia, on the other hand, provides another example for regulating disinformation at the level of misdemeanors but defining crimes for disinformation on special issues. In Turkish law, crimes of dissemination of information that misleads public, spreading false news during wartime, influencing prices, information based market manipulation, harming reputation of banks and unfair competition can be applied against online disinformation however a reform on these articles will be appropriate.
