Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between traumatic grief levels and religious coping levels in individuals living in the Thrace region who have lost a loved one in the last six months. The research method employed is a descriptive research model, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the study consists of 472 individuals (360 women, 112 men) residing in the Thrace region who have lost a loved one in the past six months. The data collection instruments used in the study include the Personal Information Form, the Religious Coping Scale, and the Traumatic Grief Scale. To compare the measurement results of independent groups, the independent samples t-test was used, and the one-way ANOVA test was conducted to compare the means of three or more groups. The Pearson correlation coefficient was examined to assess the direction and strength of the relationship between the results of the two different measurement tools. In light of the findings, women's positive religious coping and traumatic grief scores are higher than men. Positive religious coping and negative religious coping scores of married participants are significantly higher than single individuals. As both positive religious coping and negative religious coping scores increase, the traumatic grief score also increases.
