Events that representing evil in classical Turkish poetry

The history of humanity has passed with the struggle of good and evil. There cannot be such a natural situation as the reflection of this struggle, which deeply affects social life, on literary texts. Classical Turkish poetry is also included in this determination. Classical Turkish poetry, which prefers the good side, used the elements of evil to make the good more obvious. This thesis aims to first identify the entities and personalities that are representative of the evil idea encountered in classical Turkish poetry, and then to reveal how they are reflected in literary texts. Thesis; Metaphysical Evil beings, Evil Persons in the Qur'an, Works with Religious Content and Evil Persons in Islamic Mythology and Evil Persons in Historical Sources and their reflections on classical Turkish poetry. The person or entities that represent the evil are used as a simile in classical Turkish poetry, especially in the framework of the torture of the lover to the lover, the opponent to the lover, and the bad events in the time of the praised person. Again, bad persons and entities that play a role in the injustice done to the religious elders are reflected in classical Turkish poetry without resorting to direct objectification. Briefly, the thesis aims to show one aspect of the richness of the content of this poem, while focusing on the appearance of entities and persons representing the idea of evil in classical Turkish poetry.
