Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this methodological study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of Self-Regulated Learning Scale in Clinical Nursing Practice developed by Satoko Iyama and Hitomi Maeda in 2017. The sample of the study was 296 students in the fourth grade in the Faculty of Nursing at Ege University. Data were collected in the context of a face to face interview from April to May in 2018. Information form, Self-Regulated Learning Scale in Clinical Nursing Practice and Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale were used in data collection. In order to examine the validity and reliability of the scale; language, scope, structure, criterion-related validity analyzes and internal consistency, test-retest analyzes were carried out. To examine scope validity, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was calculated according to the ratings of items by 11 experts. This value was found above 0.80 for all of the items. As a result of structure validation analysis, scale was divided into two subscales and five factors similar to the original scale structure. Subscales were named as "Motivation" and "Learning Strategies". For the criterion related validity analyzes, the "Self-regulated Readiness Scale" was used as an external criterion. The positive significant correlation between the total scores of the two scales (r=0,613) showed that Self-Regulated Learning Scale in Clinical Nursing Practice had criterion related validity. To examine the internal consistency of the scale, the Cronbach alpha values were calculated. The Cronbach alpha value was 0.898 for the total scale, 0.823 for the Motivation subscale, and 0.883 for the Learning Strategies subscale. Also, results of test-retest analyzes showed high correlation between scores obtained from two applications. According to these results; Turkish version of Self-Regulated Learning Scale in Clinical Nursing Practice, consisting of 16 items and two subscales, is a valid and reliable measurement tool. Key Words: Self regulated learning; nursing; clinical nursing practice; nursing education
