Abstract (EN)
The aim of study is to remove cadmium (II) and cobalt (II) ions from aqueous solution by natural chlorite clay. Effecting adsorption parameters such as contact time, temperature, initial concentration were investigated. Kinetic experimental data were applied to Lagergren, Ho Mc Kay, Weber Morris, and Elowich equations. Kinetic experimental data was obeyed Ho Mc Kay equation for cobalt and cadmium ions and correlation coefficients are 0,9834 and 0,9997 at 298K respectively. The isotherm experimental data were analyzed by Freundlich, Langmuir, Temkin and Dubinin - Radushkevich models. Langmuir mono layer adsorption capacity of cobalt and cadmium ions were 19.96; 12.73 and 23.98 mg Co/g clay and 25.12; 26.52 and 25.00 mg Cd/g clay at 298, 308 and 318 K, respectively. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that adsorption of cobalt (II) and cadmium (II) ions onto natural klorit clay were spontaneous, endothermic, and the entropy increased during adsorption.
