Abstract (EN)

Root-knot nematodes are endo-parasites of plant roots and parasitisation can lead to diminished grape yields. Meloidogyne incognita is common root-knot nematode species in vineyards. Grapevine rootstocks are used to control these nematodes. In this study, the reactions of M. incognita G7 isolates were investigated in Ramsey, Harmony, Dogridge, 5BB, 1613C and 1103P grapevine rootstocks under controlled conditions. The experiment was established with randomized block design. Rootstock without nematode application was used as control. Single grapevine plants were inoculated with 1 000 second stage juveniles of M.incognita. After inoculation, the plant height and fresh weight, shoot height and number, number of leaves, root length and fresh weight, number of galls, gall index, egg masses and number of eggs and second stage larvae of soil density parameters were evaluated. It was found that M. incognita G7 isolate showed virulent reaction in Harmony rootstock and the value of gall index G7 isolate 3, number of egg masses 23.3 and number of eggs 2 567 respectıvely. The resistance of the rootstocks against M. incognita G7 isolates can be listed as 1103P>1613C>Dogridge>Ramsey>5BB>Harmony. 1103P was the best resistance against M. incognita G7 isolate. The value of G7 isolate of gall index was found to be 0.5, number of egg masses 0.6 and number of eggs 63.3 in 1103 P. Therefore, 1103P can be used for breeding new rootstocks for improving the Turkey viticulture sector.
