Abstract (EN)
Until now analytical, semiempirical models and numerical methods such as finite element are widely used for prediction of transverse elasticity modules of composite materials in the literature. In this work, a quadratic boundary element formulation is presented to predict transverse elasticity modules of composite. The present boundary element formulation is applied to E-glass/epoxy, S-glass/epoxy, T300/epoxy and Boron/epoxy composite materials. Results are compaired with analytical and Tsai-Hahn models. It is shown that the present formulation can be effectively used for prediction of transverse elasticity modules of composite materials.
