Especially carpet, rug and sack weaving has not only been an important source for Uşak?s economy but also has been a reason to develop and open the city to foreign countries. Geographical location, nature and human factors of Uşak provided the basics and the essentials to support the development of weaving. At the first sight weaving may look like a familiar and ordinary economic activity. But during this study, the documents have been analyzed from that specific era and they point out that; carpet, rug and sack weaving, which have been done in Uşak, were indispensible for Ottoman Empire.
