Abstract (EN)
The available data on the sedative effect of interferential current (İFC) is quite limited. It has been reported that in classical sources, when given at low frequencies (10Hz), a rhythmic pump effect can be seen with muscle stimulation, and that permeability changes in the blood vessels due to the influence of autonomic nerves, and thus the edema can be reduced. The purpose of this double-blind randomized controlled trial is to investigate whether 30-minute IFC is effective on edema developed after distal radius fracture. In addition, the effectiveness of IFC in pain and hand strength is assessed.
