Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted semi-experimentally in order to evaluate the effect of video training given to patients who will undergo coronary bypass surgery before surgery on the venous system in the lower extremities. The research was applied in the cardiovascular service of Gaziantep University Education and Research Hospital. The universe of the research was created of 105 patients who were operated at the cardiovascular surgery clinic of Gaziantep University Education and Research Hospital. According to the sample selection in groups that the universes are certain, the sample was calculated as 84 and 42 patients created the experimental group and 42 patients created the control group. Permission was obtained from the ethics committee, the hospital and the patients before starting the research. The research was completed in 6 months. Data were collected using the Patient Identification Information form, Laboratory Assessment Form, Venous Circulation Assessment Form, Pressure Elastic Sock Wearing Assessment Form from 84 patients who were hospitalized in the service. 42 of the patients (experimental group) were given video-supported training, 42 of them (control group) were given the training that existed in the clinical routine, and after collecting the research data, training video was delivered to them to watch the same video ethically. According to theresults of the examination; the differences between groups ''gender, BMI, educational Decency, smoking, marital status, occupational status, who they live with at home, height and weight'' were not statistically significant (p>0.05). When looking at the surgical histories of patients and the presence of additional disease; 'DM, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, pacemaker, anticoagulant/anticoagulant use, ejection/franksiyon value, use of birth control pills, hormone use for osteoporosis after menopause were similar and homogeneity was achieved between the groups (p>0.05). It was determined that there was no significant difference in blood pressure, pulse, saturation, hemoglobin, erythrocytes, blood sugar, triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL, Wbc, Plt, Inr, Kz, Pz of thepatients (p>0.05). When looking the heat increase, redness, pain, burning, swelling, expansion, and diameter expansion in the venous circulation of the patients; they were not statistically significant (p>0.001). İt was observed that the correct response rates of the patients in the experimental group were higher about how to wear elastic socks (p<0.05). It was found that the patients who knew how to measure the foot pulse and leg circumference after removing the pressurized elastic sock were higher in the experimental group (p<0.001). It was found that the patients did not have any bruising on their entire skin when they removed the pressure elastic sock. İt was observed that coldness, tingling, swelling, wound formation, burning and itching on the foot were higher in the experimental group (p<0.05). As a result, according to the effect of video training given to patients who will undergoing coronary bypass surgery before surgery on the venous system of the lower extremities, although there was no significant difference between the findings of deep vein thrombosis in patients receiving video training, the information and behavior of the elastic sock that they wore was statistically more significant and accurate.
