Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to analyze the road network in Kovada Lake National Park. The access status of motor vehicle roads and walking tracks in the national park area and their connections with each other were examined. Using the Geographic Information System, details such as selection of road routes to meet the different demands of the visitors, finding the most suitable route to be followed, what can be seen during the walk along this route and the duration of the trips have been produced. The condition of the walkway platform surface, platform width, longitudinal slope of the platform for the Akbel Hill, Çinçin Hill and Yarımada routes existing in the national park were determined and classified according to the walking track classes designated by the Irish National Road Office for non-motor vehicles. The Akbel Hill route has an average longitudinal slope of 26% and a platform width of 248 cm and is "difficult" in terms of difficulty, Class-1 and Class-2 in platform width, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in terms of the condition of the road surface. The Çinçin Hill route has an average longitudinal slope of 21% and a platform width of 145 cm and is "difficult" in terms of difficulty, Class-2 and Class-3 in platform width, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in terms of the condition of the road surface. The Yarımada route has an average longitudinal slope of 10% and the width of the platform is 115 cm. It is "medium" in terms of difficulty, Class-3 in platform width, and 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in terms of the condition of the road surface. The longitudinal average slope of the walkway platform on the proposed Uluçınar route is 22% and is "difficult" in terms of difficulty. It is determined that the walking routes for the users who have limited mobility, wheelchair and crutch wearers, visual impairment, young children etc. are missing. According to the results of the road network analysis, the total length of the walking path routes is approximately 20 km. The fastest walking distance on this route is about 7.5 hours. It was suggested that the asphalt road in Kovada Lake National Park should be used only by the visitors of the national park, maintenance of the walking routes without damaging the natural environment and the establishment of the Uluçınar walking track as a new route.
