Abstract (EN)

Since the early ages, The Crimean Peninsula is a geography that has hosted communities from the Turkish folk. One of the most important states established in this geography is the Crimean Khanate based in Bahçesaray. In this study; the administrative structure of the city of Bahcesaray, the capital of the Crimean Khanate, between 1700 and 1725, the places of the city, the society of Bahcesaray, and the economic activities affecting the life in the city were examined. With the study, the existence of Turkish traces in the Crimea region was revealed once again and it was revealed that the Crimean Turks should also have a voice in the current debate in the region in today's world. In addition, it was tried to shed light on the administrative structure of the Crimean Khanate and the life in other cities of the country through the city of Bahçesaray. In this context, in the first part of the study, general information about the political history of the Crimean Khanate is given without going into details, and determinations about the rulers of the Khanate between the years 1700-1725 and the understanding of management are given. In the second part of the study, where the name Bahçesaray came from, when the city was founded and how it continued its development was emphasized. For this purpose, the neighborhoods, sub-districts and villages of the city were determined and it was examined where the names of the cities and neighborhoods came from. In addition, information was given about the city's administrators and their duties. In the third part of the study, the picture of the Bahçesaray society between 1700-1725 was tried to be taken. For this purpose, information was given about the religious and ethnic communities that make up the Bahçesaray society. In addition, the effect of places of worship, educational institutions, libraries, coffee houses, taverns and boza houses in the city, as well as the social places where the society often comes together, such as fountains and temples, on the society has been examined. Again, in the Crimean society, the structure of the household with the rituals of engagement, marriage and divorce, the belongings of the household and individuals were examined. In the fourth part of the study, the economic structure of the city is emphasized. For this reason, information was given about livestock, agriculture, trade and small industrial enterprises in the city. For this purpose, money and currency units used in city trade, measurement and weighing units have been determined. Again, the problems encountered in trade and the subject of slave trade were examined. As a result, with the study, the institutions and organizations in the Crimean Khanate State organization were revealed, it was determined that the foundations of the city were laid during the Crimean Khanate, the city was founded and developed as a classical Turkish-Islamic city. In addition, it has been seen that the urban society consists of people with different ethnic and religious beliefs and they live in harmony with each other. It has been determined that the economy of the city is based on agriculture, animal husbandry and trade, especially the slave trade.
