The effect on their well-being in their own evalutaion of their diseases of chronically diseased individuals

The burden of disease has increased in parallel with the aging and increasing survival of the population in the world and in Turkey. The greatest wealth of these diseases is chronic diseases. In this study, a screening design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in a hospital in Bursa in 2019 to examine the effect of well- being on the evaluation of the diseases of individuals with chronic diseases over the age of 18. The Personal Well-Being Index-Adult Turkish form (KIOI-Y) and Chronic Disease Care Assessment Scale (KHBDÖ-h) were used. Statistical analysis was used by SPSS program and the level of significance was chosen as 0.05. 57.6% of the individuals participating in the study are women and 42.4% are men, totaling 165 and the average age of the patient is 63.70 ± 16.53. The individuals participating in the study were determined as 60.78 and their HRCS-h score as 3,97 ± 0,94 index points. A composite good personal success score was obtained according to the KIOI-Y score. The increase in KHBDÖ-h scale scores indicates that the satisfaction of individuals with chronic diseases is higher than satisfaction and chronic disease management is sufficient. According to the results of the correlation analysis made according to chronic illness care and personal well-being, a significant correlation was found between personal well-being and formed illnesses (p <0.05). A parallel effect of personal status was observed on the evaluation of individuals with chronic diseases according to their illnesses. It is thought that good care of those with chronic diseases will affect their well-being positively.
