Abstract (EN)

Patience has an important place in all of man's relationships, both with God, with the creatures, and with his own self. Patience, which has a great role in the construction of worldly life, also has an important role in the construction of the afterlife. Showing patience in the fight against trials helps to leave a positive mark in the relationship with God, as well as showing patience as a method in the fight against calamities helps to leave a positive mark in the relations with the creatures. The name of the moral stance that helps a person to avoid good and evil in his struggle with his own self is patience. In this respect, being patient elevates a person to the status of virtuous and moral. While man is deemed worthy of praise and reward from God with his patience, he also reaches a different level by ensuring peace and well-being among people. By not bowing to the desires of the soul, one reaches a superior level compared to those who are impatient in fulfilling obligations that are burdensome to the soul. With our study, we tried to contribute to the concretization of the concept of patience as a Qur'anic term by conceptually analyzing it and highlighting the lives of the great prophets. Our study was established to understand and interpret the verses about patience and great prophets. Our study, in which answers to questions such as what, why and how are sought, contributes to the concretization of abstract concepts through example people.
