Abstract (EN)

When we look at human history, veiling, which is suitable for human nature and indispensable for him, is essential for people, just like food, sleep, science and art. As it is understood from the Qur'an, when Hz. Adam was in Paradise; he was covered with a veil of which we do not know. When Hz. Adam was expelled from Paradise, that veil was taken from him and the parts that needed to be covered were exposed. The way of dressing in a society reflects the lifestyle, beliefs and philosophy of life of that society. Therefore, the style of clothing gives important information about the age, gender, age, social class and thought adopted by the person. In pre-Islamic Arab society, women wore headscarves with their neck, necklaces and part of their hair exposed. They aimed to take a place in society by displaying their beauty to men. Islam, on the other hand, wanted the external veiling to be completed. For this reason, he drew the awrah limits of men and women and made setr-i awrah obligatory. The goal it aims to achieve with this is to ensure that men or women dress in a way that will not cause strife. This obliges the clothes to be wide and thick so as not to show the body lines. The study consists of two parts. In the first chapter, the basic concepts of hijab and the use of these concepts in the texts are examined. In the second part, the nature and provision of the hijab in general are discussed. In the conclusion part, the subjects discussed in the thesis were analyzed and the conclusions were stated. Key Words: Exegesis of the Qor'an, Qor'an, Veiling, Genitals, Adornment, Hidjab.
