Abstract (EN)

Ornament's meaning is an object which is employed for adorning. It occurs by an arrangement which is done with cloth, jewellery or figure. The word is used in the Qur'an in different meanings such as toilet, ornaments and jewellery itself and the points which should be covered. In some part of the places where the ornament concept, which is used in different contexts in 46 different verses in the Qur'an, is being used in the verb form the subject is Allah, in some parts the subject is devil and in other parts passive form is used. If we look at the verses as a whole, in which ornament word passes, we can see that it is used for expressing mostly beauty, jewellery, ornamentation, attraction, cloth, array and majesty, the colour in different tones (in flowers) and the stars in the sky. According to this, goods, children, jewelleries, stars in the sky, the plants and flowers decorating earth, the clothes worn in the human body are placed in the ornament concept, as well as the world life is described by the ornament concept as a whole. Similarly, the ornamentation goods of some wealthy person lived in certain terms of history, holidays, mounts, all of the agricultural products they cultivated, and finally the human's act which is product of his / her own hand are also placed in the ornament concept. The essential one of the goods is it's being allowable. For this reason, the Supreme Allah indicates that all the ornaments that are created as benefaction for humanness are halal. But in this respect, there are some exceptions. Women and men shouldn't show the points that are known as should be covered points (setr i avret) to the others – such that in the verse it places in the ornament concept. Because of women's propensity of ornament and adorning from creation, utilization of gold and silk which are forbidden for men are released for them by the Prophet Muhammad.
