Abstract (EN)
Climate change is one of the most defining concerns of today's world and is in the process of largely reshaping and shaping the world's ecosystems. Although climate change is a constant process on earth, the speed of this change has been increasing many times recently. Climate change, which is mainly caused by the greenhouse effect caused by the use of fossil fuels, affects people all over the world and poses serious risks for countries and economies by threatening access to water, food, health and land use, which are the basic elements of life, and the basic environment. Identifying the impact of climate on societies is crucial to understanding historical economic development, designing modern policies that respond to climate events, and managing future global climate change. Predictions of the economic impacts of climate change vary widely depending on the methods used. Changes, on the other hand, constitute an obstacle in the fight against climate change, which is a long-term problem that requires global and future-oriented policy and its solution. On the other hand, the economic analysis of climate change requires local and global estimates. Because comprehensive economic assessments of climate change risks include all physical impacts and their associated market and non-market costs. As a complex, economic issue like climate change, it requires an interdisciplinary, multi-sectoral response. On the other hand, comprehensive economic assessments of climate change and; both market (eg agricultural production losses) and non-market (eg biodiversity loss or death and disease costs) losses, ımpacts of climate change that have developed over centuries, including annual disasters, ınequality of effects and, adaptation challenges to global climate sanctions needs to be covered. In light of this information, this study aimed to evaluate the extent of the predicted economic effects of climate change and the economic risks of these effects. In our research, by considering the data in OECD countries, the relationship between temperature changes and labor productivity, employment rates, income distribution, poverty and inflation rates was examined in order to determine the economic effects of climate change in these countries with the panel data analysis method.
