Abstract (EN)

Globalization, like the term itself indicates, is a subject that is common to all citizens of the World. Despite conventional descriptions on the idea of Globalization, since its inception, far from serving the interests of a global community, has consistently served the political, economic and cultural interests of a dominant global oligarchy presiding over global affairs. While Globalization has many facets focussing on the economic structuralism that it necessarily imposes reveals a process that consistently polarises the global community in to rich and poor while making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Since the advent of globalizationin 1980, initially with baby steps, it rapidly gained momentum. This accelerated spread led directly to several economic crises where there was a loss of national wealth. In order to achieve social welfare and a stable economy it is imperative to analyse the whole evolution of the global economy. KeyWords: 1. Globalization 2. Economy 3. Liberalization 4.
