It is surrounded by several districts and subdisricts such as Tut districts in the north, Gölbaşı districts in the north-west, Şambayat subdistrict in the east, Çakırhöyük subdistrict in the south and Araban district in the west. The research area of this studies along direction of east- west in the Toros fold line in the west of south east part of south Toros section. The area is surround by Tut (Adıyaman) deprestion in the north, Adıyaman plato in the east, Çakırhöyük plain in the south, Araban plain in the westh (Gaziantep). Besni, which is a developing growing very fast district as compared with neighbourng districts, is one of the most important district area in the south-east Anatolia region. Since the district has been the trade center and market place of the region up to now from the past, it has a strong connection with the neighbours.
