The teachers' attitudes towards social club studies and the problems encountered in these studies in vocational training high schools

This research was carried out to analyze the attitudes of the teachers who work in Vocational Training High Schools towards Social Club studies and the problems they encounter in these studies. The population of the research is 330 teachers who work in Vocational Training High Schools in Kartal, İstanbul in 2013-2014 Educational Year. 290 of these teachers were reached,19 of them were eliminated so the data of 271 teachers were analyzed. In this research, in order to get data "Personal Information Form" and "The Scale of Teachers' Attitudes Towards Educational Club Studies (Kılıçarslan, 2009)" were applied. The data obtained from this scale was analyzed by using the SPSS programme. In the first part of the scale, frequency and percentage distributions were used to analyze the related datas; in order to define teachers' attitudes and perceptions arithmetic mean(normal frequency curve) and standard deviation were used to state the differences among the attitudes, parametric analysis techniques (one way variance analysis, independent group t test) were used. It was tested that whether there was a significant difference among the views in the level of significance a=0.05 These are the results got by this research; Whereas the teachers' attitudes towards social studies don't depend on the sexual differences, the willingness of teachers, the attendance of students and the total scale are significant in favor of women. There are no differences according to teachers' age, marital status, education, experiences, the time they work in the same club and the facilities of the school. The difference between the group of teachers who work in the same school 5-more years and the other group who work 1-2 years is significant in favor of the first group. The difference between the group of teachers who have responsibilities in 5-more social club and the other group who have responsibilities in 1-2 club is significant in favor of the first group.
