Evaluation of logistics enterprises in terms of crisis management: Black Sea region example

There are many reasons for possible crises that may occur in any business. It is important for companies to analyze the causes of possıble crises, to identift those that my affect the business to high degree, and to take measures. Establishing crisis teams before the crisis occurs is an important point for businesses to be able to respond effectively during the period of the crisis. Strong cirisis management will seriously protect the business and the business environment. There are different reactions of businesses and results they can learn from when faced with a crisis situation. It is necessary to question logistics companies with the assumption that there may be different forms of crisis preparation processes and that there may be different assessments regarding the management of the crisis. In this context, the concept of crisis and crisis management have been explained in detail, and a research will be conducted on the level of logistics companies regarding the crisis management process. By using a descriptive quantitative research method, it is aimed to reveal whether there is a crisis plan that businesses take as a reference during the crisis processes. It has been determined that 85.5% of the logistics companies do not have a crisis guide on which they are based, and those who do have very limited information in the guide. When the difference between being a crisis management guide and a crisis management scale was evaluated, it was determined that the scale scores of those who had a guide were higher than those who did not, and the difference was significant. (p<0.000). As a result, in line with the findings of the study, it can be suggested to create a management guide that businesses can refer to during crisis processes.
