Lojistik merkezlerde yatay işbirlikleri kapsamında anahtar performans göstergelerinin belirlenmesine yönelik nicel bir araştırma

Logistic centres are built in a specific area for the realization of all logistical activities by various actors and their impact on global freight traffic and their importance in terms of sustainability and multimodal transportation are increasing. Horizontal collaborations have been a well-known concept for different industries for a while, but they are not as common as in logistics industry except from the maritime transport. So it can be considered as an up-to-date method for the solution of many problems for the logistics sector as well. Logistics centres are already considered as an example of specialised industrial clusters resulting from collaboration between logistics service providers. Logistics centre and Horizontal collaboration concepts and the relationship between them are the main interest of this thesis. In this regard, this research aims to determine and prioritize key performance indicators in the scope of horizontal collaborations for logistic centres. In order to achieve the aim of the research; both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods were employed. Secondary (content analysis) and primary data collection (semi-structured interview) techniques as qualitative research methods and Fuzzy AHP method as a quantitative research method were used. Interviews were made with 7 logistics centre managers and 7 logistics company managers which are operate in logistics centre and fuzzy AHP survey were carried with 18 profesionals/experts from different groups of logistics centre's stakeholders. The results were interpreted based on the findings of the analysis. Horizontal collaborations and logistics centres are drivers and facilitators of each other. As a result of the study, the perceptions of the logistics center stakeholders about their expectations from the logistics centers and the horizontal cooperation in the logistics sector were revealed. The results of the thesis will have importance for practitioners in the logistics industry. Logistics center managers and policy makers can take into account identified and prioritised key performance indicators by adopting a relationship marketing-oriented approach while planning, building and managing logistics centers. Finally, the research aims to contribute to the future studies of academicians aiming to study in this field.
