Abstract (EN)
Lumbar spinal stenosis is a syndrome resulting from degenerative changes that affect the anatomical structure and morphometric values of the lumbar region. In recent years, interest in minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis has increased. Interspinous device implantation is a minimally invasive alternative for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. Knowing the anatomical structure and morphometric values of the region where the interspinous device will be implanted can increase the success of interspinous device design and implantation. Therefore, the morphometric values of the spinous process and interspinous spaces are important. In this study, the height and length of the spinous process and interspinous spaces, the width of the spinous process, the spino-laminar angle measurements were made. The correlation of measured values with gender, age, weight, height, and body mass index were examined. The height and length of the spinous process and interspinous space at some levels were higher in males than females. At many levels, as age increases, the height of the spinous process and interspinous space decreased, its length increased, as the weight increased, the height of the spinous process decreased its width increased, the length of the spinous process and interspinous space increased, the height and length of the spinous process and the interspinous space increased as the body mass index increased. It was determined that the height of the spinous process and interspinous space decreased, and the width of the spinous process increased. It was concluded that these results should be taken into account in interspinous device design and implantation.
