Abstract (EN)
As a result of studying the political risk analysis in mining, it is aimed to explain the political risks of countries in a developing and globalizing world for international mining investments in a numerically understandable way instead of subjective assessments and personal opinions. Mining investments must be made at the location of the mineral deposits and the mineral deposits must be extracted at the location of the deposits. In addition, mining enterprises are long-lasting ventures and they require high-cost investments. Therefore, political risks in the geography where the deposit is located may be an important source of risk as they may contain significant uncertainties for the mining sector. Although various studies have been conducted on political risk in mining, these studies have generally been conducted as steps to prevent political risk. In this study, political risk analysis in mining of different countries has been made based on the data of various international organizations. Monte Carlo simulation method was used for risk analysis. This study is the first in this subject and in this scope. Keywords: Mining, political risk, risk analysis, risk factor.
