Abstract (EN)

The economy is one of the key factors that directly guide the lives of consumers. Macroeconomic indicators are the main components that shape the economy. The change in macroeconomic indicators can effect consumers with different socio-economic and demographic characteristics in many areas such as their level of welfare and their way of life in different way. However, this effect can be occurred not only with the economic dimension but also with social and psychological dimensions. Therefore, it is equally important to examine how and what criteria the effects of all these dimensions are on. The purpose of this study is to test the absolute relationship hypothesis between macroeconomic variables and consumer behavior. In this study, it is aimed to consider the effects of basic macroeconomic variables on consumers' income and expenditure relations from sociological and psychological aspects while analyzing it according to economic point of view. In order to being able to analyze the effect, a survey study has been done; Turkey is aimed to be the survey universe as the individuals who are eighteen years old and older are aimed to be the survey limitation. As a result of the analyses that have been made according to the survey, it has been concluded that the change in macroeconomic variables greatly influences consumer behavior, as well as different psycho-social effects affirms the expected results in various processes.
