Abstract (EN)

This study focuses on the introduction and analysis of 194 silver coins of the Afshar Dynasty and the last period of the Safavid Dynasty in the Mardin Museum. With the establishment of the Safavid Dynasty and the establishment of the "Twelve Imam Shii'ism" in the Iranian geography were briefly mentioned the impact on the peoples of that region and the areas influenced by religion. The forementioned coins and the period of Hüseyin Mirza one of the Safavid Emperors, and until the part of the actual collapse of Safavid Dynasty and the period of Nadir Shah, the most important emperor of the Afshar dynasty, which was founded later on is examined. It is seen that the Safavid and Afshar Dynasties, which ruled in the same geography, had mints in different provinces such as Yerevan, Herât, Isfahan, Qazwin, Mashhad, Nakhchivan, Tabriz and Tbilisi, and they included the titles of monarchs and religious expressions on their surfaces. However, it is remarkable that the items used in the coins of the Avşar Dynasty compared with the Safavid Dynasty and their weight measurements changed and that the Afshar Dynasty reduced religious phrases. Key Worlds: Coin, Coinage, Numismatic, Silver, Iranian, Money, Safavid, Afshar, Hüseyin Shah, Nader Shah.
