Informational function of media and presentation of the phenomena of terrorism in television series: Example of Kurtlar Vadisi Gladio

In first part, it takes place what media is, the media has many functions, it undertakes various functions and it is informed that the most important functions of media are informing, entertaining, molding the public opinion. In second part, the phenomena of terrorism is informed and connective points with reference to terror definition which belonged to each of the country exposed to terror are indicated by being tried to repose on common definition. Concepts like organization, violence and ideology which is elements of terror is informed and it is pointed out importance of trivet keeping alive terror organization. In the third part, relationship of media and terror is discussed in detail with many aspects. it is informed what terror expects from media by being emphasized on reason of taking part of the terror news in media. It is tried to inform in the light of the last and current news by being analysed what kind of negative results occurred. Time?s newspaper is examined about effects of 11 September and 15 November attacks on society and attitudes to the topic of the newspaper?s and Television?s news are discussed in details. Some principles are mentioned in terror journalism and occupation principles take part about RTÜK and press council include terror and violence about this topic. Mutual task of RTÜK and Television Broadcaster association related to publications which insist of terror and violence were reminded by mentioning about extent of terror and provision against terror in addition to provision that inhibit from progressing the terror.
