The place is explained differently in different scientific areas. The reason for such vast assessment is that everything has a place. Historical process of the phenomenon of the place that began with the birth process, the cave life and the transition to settled life and the role it plays for the changes it has brought up to this date is the main topic of our investigation. Of course, the mere investigation of the place in this process would remain incomplete. The body of a person is considered as the first place that one can obtain. When it comes to the body, personal existence and the distance will be included in the situation. This boundary begins among the people and spreads to the place that they live in and even the town itself. When deeply investigated, in the caves that are known to be the first places which man lived, the emergence of the privacy the its boundaries gain importance. The effect of privacy on the social interactions on this stage has investigated. Thus, the effect of privacy can be seen clearly on the place. This effect is assessed through Çatalhöyük which dates back to the late Neolithic Age. How the perception of place and privacy in Çatalhöyük correspond to the homelife has investigated. As a result of this the comments on the architecture, art, agriculture, production and beliefs in Çatalhöyük will be explained.
