Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the effects of different sowing date and several weed control methods in lentil {Lens culinaris Medic.) in Diyarbakır ecological conditions. In the research, it was noticed that weed population decreased, as a result of delays in sowing dates. In addition to this, it was found that days to maturity changed between 168 and 216 days, plant height 28-31 cm, basal pod height 9.5-14.0 cm, number of primer branches 2.00-2.75, number of seconder branches 8-15, clusters per plant 12-22, pods per plant 17-31, pods per cluster 1.16-1.52, biological yield per plant 1.83-5.13 g, seed yield per plant 0.47- 1.57 g, straw yield per plant 0.96-4.57 g, weed population per square meter 0.00-24.89 and 1000 seed weight 32.53-34.17 g.
