Determination of the level of occupational health and safety perception of teachers at vocational and technical anatolian high school (Case of Trabzon)

Occupational health and safety practices in our country are quite new and a great time is needed to create a culture of occupational health and safety. The schools that I think have a great role in the formation of this culture, the students and teachers working here constitute the majority of the country's population. Therefore, it is of great importance for the students who will start working in the future that the culture of occupational health and safety in schools will be based on solid foundations. Economic and social sectors meet most of the labor force demands of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools. Most of the students who graduated from vocational and technical Anatolian high schools are directly engaged in business life. Occupational and technical Anatolian high schools in the dangerous class contribute significantly to the formation of a culture of occupational health and safety. In this research, it was investigated the perception levels of occupational health and safety of teachers working in vocational and technical high schools and whether the basic education given to this perception level was effective. The research was carried out by applying face - to - face questionnaires to teachers working in vocational and technical Anatolian high schools in Trabzon. Data were analyzed with SPSS program. When the results of the study were evaluated, it was found that the level of occupational health and safety perception of teachers was lower than it should be, and it was found that there was a positive relationship between basic education and perception level.
