Abstract (EN)

Upon the call of the newly restrucured German workforce in early 60ies, from every corner of Anatolia people migrated to Germany. Consequently two different cultures, traditions, beliefs and life practices met in Germany. The mingling of these two cultures togeher provided various situations in social and psychological cases, which found reflections as the subject matters in the literatures of both nations. The literary movement in which the t experiences of immigrants are reflected is called "Immigrant Literature" (Migrantenliteratur). In the works of Immigrant Literature where the differences among the immigtrants, social conflicts, ethnic-religious oppression, individual and social troubles are handled around within the framework of the homesickness, along with such matters as problems in education, alienation originated from being foreigners in Germany are also extensively examined subjects. Journalist and writer Metin Gür, one of the prominent representatives of Immigrant Literature, brings forth with his writings and researches the problems of the workers working in Germany. His works written in socio-cultural story genre titled Sütü Küstürmek and Kınanın Soluşu, he examines the experiences of women who migrated to Germany for two different social roles and purposes. Some of these women are women who have migrated to Germany as workers, and some other are women who participate in migration by way of marriage. Gür, who handles the difficulties, socio-economic troubles and the injustices practised on them as brides or workers in Germany, conveys the troubles in both of his works without disturbing the world of reality. The purpose of our study is to shed light on the period when such women were exploited socio-culturally and economically. While conducting the research objects, a sociological perspective has been adopted through literary science study methods. In order to explain the exploitation of labor that workers in the works faced, a sociological approach was employed through the Marxist Review Method, employing various Feminist Theories. In line with the method of examination adopted, the immigrant female worker characters are analyzed through various forms of exploitation in Sütü Küstürmek. In the work titied Kınanın Soluşu, the abuse cases experienced by the female characters who went to Germany by way of marriage are examined. It has been viewed that the women subjected to gender inequalities both in their private and working life have been expolited, behind which there are some other factors. At the top of this inequality comes the fact that they are being "women" and "non-German speaking individuals" beset and discouraged by mores, traditions and taboos. Another signifacant finding is the brides who have been expolited by their own mothers-in-law. This research has also determined that these immigrant female workers have been exploited physically, mentally and in terms of labour both in their private and working life, and have been found that they had not the means in that particular period to vitally and legally exercise their rights.
