Abstract (EN)

In this study, the process and evolution of Ibn Karram and Karramiya which occured in III/IX. centuries was held. We studied Ibn Karram's, as the founder of Karramiya, life, scientific journeys, instituters and Works in detail. In spite of lack of reliable sources about his life we used crumbs of information to compose his life. Based on credo and jurisprudential practical law we came to the conclusion that Ibn Karram and Karramiya belong to Ahl as-Sunna. The propagation of Karramiya had been done mostly via khanqahs. The distribution and influence of Karramiya was carried out by khanqahs. The Karramiya, which was at the height of its power during Ghaznavids era, struggled against Batiniyya / esoteric groups. Sultan Mahmud treated Karramiya as a part of Sunni Islam and exploited it against Batiniyya / esoteric groups. In spite of being marginalized in some narrations, Beshar al-Maqdisi and Ghavnavids cooperation with them are the biggest means of evidence that Karramiya is a part of Sunni Islam.
