Abstract (EN)

Historical sources cites as for the 13thcenturyas a period when the balances were turned upside down in terms of political events. It is the Mongol empire, which was founded under the leadership of Genghis Khan, the architect of the period that changed the course of history. The Mongols, who completed their political organization in a short period of time time, have unleashed a myriad of events that will affect World History across the lands ranging from Turkistan to the Near East, from the Middle East to Anatolia, from the Caucasus to Eastern Europe, including China in the east and the Turkish-Islamic geography in the west. Before the Mongol invasion, the magnificence of the Great Seljuk State had disappeared in the lands of Khorasan. Large and small states were ruled by the heirs of the Seljuks in these lands. The SalgurluAtabeylik, founded in Shiraz in the south of Iran, is one of these states. This study aims at investigating the conditions during the process from the beginning of the Mongol invasion until the collapse of the SalgurluAtabeylik, which ruled in the Persian lands. The first diplomatic contact of the SalgurluAtabey with the Mongols was during the time of Ögedey Khan. The relations that started before the establishment of the Ilkhanid state in Iran continued until the death of the last Salgurlu ruler, Abiş bint Sa'd. Atabeg Abu Bakr b. The political framework designed in the Sa'd period and the process until the Argun Khan period were examined. After the Salgurlus, who left the establishment phase behind, were included in the Mongolian dominion, the role of each SalgurAtabey in the relationship between the ruler and the subordinate was revealed, and the sequence of events that brought the end of the atabeylik was emphasized. The factors that made the Salgurlu lands a center of attraction in terms of scientific, religious, architectural and social aspects and the transformation of the Salgurlu State into Inju lands under the rule of Ilkhan were mentioned.
